ABOUT ME

Welcome!

Andie is a 500+ hour certified yoga teacher from Ellicott City, with additional certifications in barre fitness and prenatal/postnatal yoga. She received her 200-hour certification in 2017 from Charm City Yoga, and went on to obtain her 300-hour certification from YogaWorks in 2021. After having her first daughter in 2020, she also completed an 85-hour prenatal/postnatal yoga training led by Lily Dwyer-Begg. Through this training, combined with her lived experience of recovering from two c-sections, she gained a deeper understanding of how the breath, diaphragm and core muscles work together to support the body through life’s daily activities. Her teaching style evolved to meet the functional needs of her students as they navigate different stages of life. Her breath and alignment focused classes provide her students with a strong foundation to develop awareness in the body, find clarity of the mind, and explore yoga’s journey to the self.

As a mother of two, she has a special interest in working with prenatal and postnatal students by helping them build strength and stamina during pregnancy, as well as develop the mental fortitude necessary for parenting. Additionally, her educational background in pediatric occupational therapy informs her fun and imaginative kids yoga classes. She is passionate about ensuring her teachings are practical and accessible throughout every season of life.
